FAQs
What can I expect in a session?
A laid back experience with no pressure. Let's have fun, listen to some music, and get to know each other. When outdoors, I like to explore my landscape and may ask you to climb or walk on non-flat surfaces (such as rocks) - within your ability.
What happens if my young kids don't cooperate?
I strive to create an experience that even the young kids enjoy & want to be a part of. I like shoots that are real and candid and sometimes that includes a grumpy toddler, or maybe a snack break. I don't have expectations for your children, let them express themselves however they want too, I'll work with it!
When do you want to shoot my newborns photos?
Preferably within the first 2 weeks. But the most important factors are that your family is comfortable and settled. I want this experience to be special, so I want to shoot your newborn photos whenever you hit that point.
What about inclement weather?
Wisconsin has inclement weather year-round. If there are weather conditions that put either of our safety in jeopardy, impact the quality of the photos, or safety of my equipment, we will reschedule a date that works best for both of us.
When do we finalize a time?
Once a date is determined I will provide a general time range. 1-2 days prior, I will give you a concrete time after I have factored in weather and sun position.
When will I get my photos?
You can expect your photos between 2-3 weeks after the session. If a situation arises that would cause a significant delay, I will notify you as soon as possible.
The Process:
I. Book the date.
Contact me through my website, social media, email, or feel free to call/text. We will confirm a date and discuss what type of session works best.

II. Take photos.
Because most of the sessions take place outdoors, we will finalize a session time 5-7 days prior to the scheduled date. It is important to consider the weather and time of sunset when choosing a time and I never want to "guess" during booking. Of course there are exceptions for weddings & elopements, schedule conflicts, etc.
III. Deliver memories.
Depending on the season you can typically expect your final photos in around 3 weeks. Weddings are generally 6-8 weeks. I really try to communicate any delays to my clients (I'm human too!) but I'm always happy to answer any questions you may have during that wait process.
